Encode
The official website of Encode - the Computer Science Club at PDEU. Full MERN stack with event management, member profiles, and resource sharing.
I led the web development core committee for Encode, the Computer Science Club at PDEU, building the official club website for the 2024 edition. The site served as the central hub for the club’s activities, handling event management, member profiles, and resource sharing all in one place.
The design direction was intentional - I went with a hacker-themed aesthetic featuring dark green text on black, styled to look like a terminal window with a command prompt. For a CS club audience, I wanted the site to feel native rather than generic, something members would actually appreciate as a creative technical choice rather than just another informational page.
I worked on the homepage alongside Nemil Shah, while the rest of the full MERN stack implementation covered the backend API for event CRUD operations, member data management, and a gallery system. TailwindCSS handled the styling, letting me iterate quickly on the terminal-inspired UI while keeping the codebase clean and consistent across components.
The project gave me experience coordinating a small team on a real production site with an active user base - the club members and prospective students who visited the site for event information and resources throughout the year.
